Where do I review policy benefit information?

Why didn’t I receive my ID cards via email?

  • The ID Card may be in your junk or spam folder. Click on Policy Info and Cards?
  • If it’s not there, chances are your email address was mistyped and you never received it. Click on ID Cards and click the appropriate ID Card link for the policy you purchased. You will then be able to log in and print another one.

How short is a short-term trip?

  • Less than 1 year.

How long is a long-term trip?

  • 1 year or more

What are the 2 major differences between a short-term and a long-term policy?

  • Other than the length of time, a long-term policy is quite similar to a US-style health plan (major medical coverage) that is annually renewable, where a short-term policy is more of an emergency plan (accidents and unforeseen illnesses).

What is the difference between a group trip and an individual/family trip?

  • A group trip must constitute 5 or more people traveling together as a team. An individual/family trip is simply for either an individual or a family (which may be 5 or more).

I have insurance, so why do I even need this insurance for international travel?

  • You DO if your insurance company can’t say ‘YES’ to the following two questions
    • Do ALL my current policy benefits apply when I’m outside the United States?
    • Will it cover emergencies like a trip to a foreign hospital or an evacuation?
  • Don’t be left halfway across the world without the right coverage!

Can I purchase a policy for less than 1 year and renew/extend coverage if I need to stay longer?

  • Yes. This can also be done online.
